Professional Background:
Whitney Hall, PhD, is a licensed psychologist specializing in psychological assessment, diagnostic clarity, and consultation. She has over 20 years of experience working with children and adults, with particular expertise in cognitive, educational, personality, neuropsychological, ADHD, and learning disability assessments.
Whitney earned her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and her PhD in Psychology from Texas Woman's University. During her graduate training and doctoral internship, she developed experience in assessment and diagnostic work across a wide range of ages, as well as providing therapy. She later completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Wichita State University, where she continued specialized training in cognitive and neuropsychological assessment of ADHD and learning disabilities.
Since establishing her private assessment and consultation practice in Austin, Texas, in 2008, Whitney has provided specialized assessments and consultation for individuals, families, schools, and healthcare professionals. Her work with women navigating perimenopause includes helping distinguish psychological conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, OCD, and autistic traits from symptoms or changes that may occur during the menopausal transition.
Whitney also has experience supporting cancer survivors during menopause. Her approach focuses on providing diagnostic clarity for co-occurring psychological conditions without unnecessarily pathologizing expected side effects or experiences associated with cancer treatment and menopause. She is also a trained meditation teacher and incorporates mindfulness education into her work.
Years of Practice: 20+ years of experience in psychology, psychological assessment, diagnostic consultation, and neuropsychological evaluation, including expertise in ADHD, learning differences, and women's mental health.
Gain greater clarity about the symptoms you're experiencing during perimenopause and menopause. Whitney provides thoughtful psychological assessment and consultation to help distinguish overlapping concerns while taking your individual experiences and circumstances into account.
