Professional Background:
Dr. Sarah Calhoun is a board-certified Family Physician and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) with more than 15 years of experience caring for patients across all stages of life in Missouri. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP) and completed both her medical degree and family medicine residency at the University of Missouri School of Medicine, where she also served as chief resident.
Dr. Calhoun is the founder of Curated Medicine, a direct-pay family medicine practice focused on providing personalized, unhurried care through telehealth throughout Missouri. Her women's health focus includes perimenopause and menopause, evidence-based hormone therapy, non-hormonal treatment options, sleep and mood concerns, bone and heart health, weight management, and healthy aging.
Her approach emphasizes longer visits, direct physician access, and collaborative decision-making. She also provides care for patients with dysautonomia/POTS and complex chronic conditions and brings a longevity-focused perspective to helping women maintain their health and wellbeing over the long term.
Dr. Calhoun has experience supporting cancer survivors through menopause and works closely with their oncology care teams. Her approach includes evidence-based non-hormonal options for hot flashes, sleep disruption, and mood changes; support for vaginal dryness and painful intercourse; referrals to pelvic floor physical therapy when appropriate; and attention to bone and cardiovascular health, nutrition, exercise, and weight management. Her MSCP training includes menopause care after cancer.
Years of Practice: 15+ years of experience in family medicine and women's health, with a focus on menopause, midlife health, chronic conditions, and preventive and longevity-focused care.
Receive thoughtful, personalized menopause care designed around your health history, symptoms, and goals. Dr. Calhoun provides unhurried, evidence-based support for hormonal, metabolic, sexual, bone, heart, and overall midlife health—including individualized care for cancer survivors.
