Professional Background:
Dr. Kate Weed, PT, DPT, is a pelvic health physical therapist based in Denver, Colorado, specializing in pelvic floor rehabilitation, urinary incontinence, painful sex, and menopause-related concerns. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy and master's degrees in Anatomy and Clinical Health Science from the University of Delaware in 2020. Early in her training, she discovered her passion for pelvic health and has since helped hundreds of patients address pelvic floor concerns and improve their quality of life.
Dr. Kate takes a trauma-informed approach to care, creating a safe, welcoming, and affirming environment for people of all genders and backgrounds. Her treatment approach is tailored to each person's needs and may address urinary leakage, bowel dysfunction, pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction, recovery after pelvic surgery, and returning to exercise following childbirth. She has pursued advanced training in urinary incontinence, pessary and prolapse care, pelvic pain, and pregnancy and postpartum management.
Dr. Kate is also comfortable supporting women navigating menopause following cancer treatment. She has experience working with breast and gynecologic cancer survivors, women experiencing treatment-induced menopause, and those who have undergone preventive surgery because of elevated genetic risk, including BRCA. Her approach may include pelvic health physical therapy, exercise guidance, non-hormonal symptom management strategies, coaching, and emotional support. She also values collaboration with oncology teams to help women work toward improved comfort, mobility, strength, and a return to meaningful daily activities.
Her goal is to help every patient feel supported, confident, and more at home in their body through individualized, compassionate pelvic health care.
Years of Practice: 5 years of experience in physical therapy, pelvic health, pelvic floor rehabilitation, and women's health.
